PRACTICE: Look at the eleven sentences on your handout and underline the words and/or phrases that make the sentence an appeal to pathos. Then identify the emotion that the words makes the audience feel. We will do the first one together.
1. "If we don’t move soon, we’re all going to die! Can’t you see how dangerous it would be to stay?"
This makes the audience feel FEAR because generally humans are afraid of danger and afraid of dying.
